They say that they got goosebumps from the video? They should see it live. I mean, the song still gives me goosebumps when it comes on the radio or whatever. Man, I got to say, it was epic to see it performed live. Back in the 80s, we went to the no jacket required tour. It was freaking awesome. I got to say, we had the best music and the best concerts. Our rock gods didn't use Auto-Tune

Story goes they asked the bass player Chuck Rainey ( a bass legend ) not to slap ( a bass playing technique ) and just play finger style ( a basic bass playing technique ) on the recording after a couple of practice takes when it was time to record Chuck blocked his bass from view some say he turned his back to the rest of the band and played using the slap technique anyway and they liked the final product and left it as is. Peg is my all time favorite Steely Dan song Btw The band was made up of session musicians and artists from other groups including Michael McDonald

When I was in the eighth grade, my elder brother introduced me to this band. I didn't understand the lyrics back then but I enjoyed the music. Now I am 25 I understand each and every syllables, the meanings of these songs.. and it always brings goosebumps to me.. sometimes tears in my eyes. Worth it to be a Metalhead.

I can be honest in that Steely Dan is not a band I ever really listened to. I love a lot of great classic bands but for some reason I've just not paid a lot attention to these guys.
